It’s almost here, the best two-day celebration for everyone in the 517 area code!
This year, the celebration is on Friday, May 17 th from 11 a.m. until 11 p.m. at Lansing Shuffle (325 Riverfront Dr., Lansing along the banks of the Grand River).
On Saturday, May 18 th this one-of-a-kind event continues from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. at the State of Michigan Capitol on Capital Ave., Lansing.
517 Day is a family friendly celebration for all with plenty of things to do, music to listen to, art, vendors, food, and fun!
It’s accessible for everyone and is designed to offer an experience beyond the everyday offerings here.
It celebrates our art, who we are as a community and people, and has something for everyone from the 12 counties that make up the 517 area.
Even better – it’s a 100% FREE celebration! MetroMelik is the founder and producer of 517 Day. This is the 8 th annual event and it’s
bigger and better than ever.
Be sure to be there when DJ Melik rules. Musical acts School of Rock, and J.P. & Energy (see below) are not to be missed on Friday night.
On Saturday, don’t miss the Everett high school dancers that will perform on the Capitol lawn, and music by Black Barn Band and Starfarm.
