Potter Park Zoo is full of nature’s wonders. Come and see the animal kingdom up close with over 350 animals to watch and marvel at.
At 1301 S. Pennsylvania Avenue in Lansing, it has been a city treasure for more than a century.
“With its commitment to conservation and education, Potter Park Zoo not only provides entertainment but also serves as an important resource for learning about and protecting endangered species,” Zoo representative Heath Thurman said.
Among these are the beautiful Bird and Reptile House and a fascinating Feline/Primate facility.
Potter Park Zoo is committed to offering visitors an amazing experience, adding new features and creatures to enhance your experience. Last year, the zoo welcomed a number of new additions. They include: a red panda cub, binturong cubs, and a ring-tailed baby lemur. This year the zoo added a baby eastern bongo calf. No doubt there will be more amazing additions to come.
Back by popular demand are the camel rides! They provide some truly unique and unforgettable moments. Visitors can count on the zoo for a full experience with the AniMall Gift Shop where you can find a keepsake of the experience, and the on-site Savanna Grill is a great place to grab a bite.
There is no better time to see these awesome animals than the spring and summer months.
The park will feature numerous exciting events for visitors like Earth Day BioBlitz Exploration April 22 and Party for the Plant 2023 on the same day, and Arbor Day Celebration April 28.
