The Great Lakes State is well represented on Team USA. Here’s a closer look at Michigan’s 2024 Summer Olympians.
Kalamazoo native Heath Baldwin represents the United States in Men’s Decathlon. The 23-year-old MSU grad is primed after winning national Olympic Trials.
Team USA basketball guard Devin Booker was born and raised in Grand Rapids. The 6-foot-6 sharpshooter should play a key role as the Americans chase their fifth consecutive Olympic gold medal in Paris.
Former University of Michigan All-American Greco-Roman wrestler Adam Coon suits up for the stars and stripes. The U.S. heavyweight hopeful is from Fowlerville.
Aaron Cummings is a Team USA rugby player from Muskegon. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound forward known as “AC” makes his Olympic debut with the Men’s Eagles Sevens this year.
At 33 years of age, Andrew Evans is the state’s oldest Olympic team member. Evans competes for USA track & field in the discus throw.
USA track ace Grant Fisher of Grand Blanc is the team’s top 5,000- and 10,000-meter competer. Fisher holds American records at those distances. Keep an eye on him.

Ann Arbor’s Zach Hammer is the youngest Michigander representing Team USA in sport climbing. The 18-year-old phenom free climber is ready to kick off his Olympic career in style.
Star middle-distance runner Hobbs Kessler of Ann Arbor lines up for the USA track team. Kessler will compete in the 800-meter and 1500-meter doubles events.
Grosse Pointe Park product Sorin Koszyk reps US Rowing in the XXXIII Olympiad. Koszyk specializes in the single and double sculls.
Caledonia's Alena Olsen rocks the red, white and blue for women’s rugby. Olsen appears in her second Olympics with the Women’s Eagles Sevens.

She scored a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The 22-year-old freestylist is one of our state’s favorites to place on the podium. .
Grace Stark hails from White Lake and stars in the 100-meter hurdles. The 23-year-old Florida Gator is reigning NCAA national champ in that event.

21-year-old Abby Tamer of Dexter is a field hockey prodigy. Tamer has hockey in her blood. Her father Chris played 11 years in the NHL, and mother Keely starred in field hockey at U of M.

Michigan is home to four Paralympians as well. 50-year-old Bobby Body of Eaton Rapids is a Para powerlifter. Lowell's Kate Brim, 26, makes the trip to Paris with the U.S. Para-cycling crew. 27-year-old Grand Haven native Even Medell takes on the opposition in Para Taekwondo. Jayci Simon, 19, of St. Johns joins the U.S. Para Badminton team in France. The 2024 Paralympics will begin August 28.
